State-Level Restoration: AJS Masonry Renews Building #5 at Harriman State Office Campus in Albany, NY
As part of New York State’s initiative to revitalize and modernize its existing infrastructure, Building #5 at the Harriman State Office Campus in Albany, NY underwent critical exterior upgrades — and AJS Masonry, Inc. was selected to perform the full masonry restoration package on this key facility.
AJS’s scope of work included a combination of cleaning, repair, and replacement across multiple masonry materials. Crews executed:
Chemical cleaning of the building’s natural limestone and brick veneer
Masonry repointing to reinforce and seal deteriorated joints
Selective removal and replacement of damaged brick and limestone veneer panels
Patching of miscellaneous deteriorated limestone elements to restore structural integrity and visual consistency
Masonry-related caulking to ensure full enclosure protection and long-term weather resistance
Working on a high-profile state facility required strict attention to safety, scheduling, and technical compliance.
