Precision in the Heart of Saratoga: AJS Masonry Completes Concrete Work at 422 Broadway

Located in the center of downtown Saratoga Springs, NY, the 422 Broadway project required both technical expertise and strategic coordination. This four-story, mixed-use commercial and residential building called for a substantial amount of structural concrete — and AJS Masonry, Inc. was selected to handle the challenge.

The foundation of the building includes a mat slab composed of over 2,100 cubic yards of concrete, forming the structural base of the project. An additional 1,100 cubic yards of concrete were poured for the slabs on deck, bringing the total volume to over 3,200 cubic yards — a significant figure for a project within Saratoga’s urban core.

Beyond the concrete itself, the project’s location posed one of the biggest challenges: performing large-scale work on a tight site with constant pedestrian and vehicle traffic, surrounded by active downtown businesses. AJS collaborated closely with the building owner, the City of Saratoga Springs, and other onsite trades to plan every phase of construction with minimal disruption.

By scheduling pours strategically and maintaining clear communication with city officials and neighbors, AJS was able to complete its scope on time and without interfering with local traffic or commerce.

The 422 Broadway project reflects AJS Masonry’s commitment to urban construction excellence, collaborative problem-solving, and delivering high-volume structural concrete solutions across Saratoga Springs, Albany, and the greater Capital Region.
